Board of Directors
- George [Geordie] N. Gillett, III - President
Mr. Gillett oversees Grand Targhee Resort, and is involved in many of Booth Creek Management Corporation's other companies. Geordie received his B.A. from Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont. He received Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Finance degrees from the University of Denver in Denver, Colorado. Geordie and his family live in Victor, Idaho. He is on the board of many Teton Valley community organizations, including Friends of the Teton River, Teton Valley Foundation, Teton Valley Health Care, Teton Basin Ice and Recreation, and Teton Area Advisory Forum. Geordie is one of the Foundation's founding visionaries.
- Cathy O'Connor - Treasurer
Cathy is the Executive Director of the Community Foundation of Teton Valley, and the former Executive Director of the Teton Valley Foundation. Prior to joining the nonprofit world, Cathy spent thirteen years in New York working in accounting and investment banking. More recently, she spent 3 years in various roles at a therapeutic boarding school in Oakley, UT, teaching math, co-running admissions, serving as a parent liaison, running publications and coaching cross country and girl's lacrosse. She and her husband moved to the Valley in May 2005.
She has been involved with non-profit organizations throughout her adult life ranging from the Student Sponsor Partnership, a New York non-profit which provides students from broken homes an alternative to public school and Candlelighters for Childhood Cancer, an outreach program for cancer families. She has volunteered her time to manage the Victor site for Teton Valley Community Recycling and volunteers as bookkeeper for Teton Valley Trails and Pathways.
- Jennifer Rein - Secretary
Jennifer currently works for Dubbe-Moulder Architects, PC as a Marketing Coordinator. Jennifer's professional experience has run the gamut, from full-time work with the Washington Air National Guard, to running an administrative department at a corporate level engineering firm in Minneapolis. Jennifer and her husband moved to Teton Valley in August of 2006. Since arriving, she has dabbled in freelance writing that has brought attention to community issues in the Valley. Although she has been a regular participant in events such as the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Walk, and Team in Training, a national program that raises funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, she is new to non-profit support at a board level.
- Phyllis Baldwin
Phyllis is a previous chef at the Warbirds Cafe at the Driggs airport. Her prior work experience is varied, including management positions at the Teton Valley Chamber of Commerce, Eagle Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy and a farm/bed & breakfast. Phyllis previously owned her own embroidery business.
Phyllis has served on various boards for approximately ten years, including the Vail and Denver figure skating clubs while living in Vail, CO. She was Vice President of the Mile High Figure Skating Association Board, in Denver. She is a Figure skating judge and referee, an International Luge official and managed the athlete's dormitory for The United States Luge Association in Park City. Phyllis has brought her prior experience in organizing events to Board discussions and her experience in the food industry in helping to get our concessions going at the summer music series.
- Rick Baldwin
Rick has been a licensed architect for the past 31 years, currently for Dubbe-Moulder Architects with offices in Jackson, WY and Driggs, ID.
He is an appointed member of both the Driggs Planning and Zoning Commission and the Transportation Committee and an active member of the local Design Review Subcommittee and Downtown Driggs Community Association. Rick has been an active participant with several non-profit organizations and community advocacy groups. He has served as a volunteer Luge coach, has earned National, International and Olympic Luge Officiating qualifications and actively participates in events at all three levels each winter. Rick brings his creativity and problem solving skills and his experience living in other resort communities to the Foundation.
- Jen Boyce
Jen has been a freelance graphic designer for 14 years working with clients throughout the world. She had visited Teton Valley for years and moved permanently to the Valley in 2003. Jen is a new part owner in a large mixed use property in Downtown Driggs.
Previous and continuing involvement in non profit and civic organizations include Teton Regional Land Trust, Teton Valley Community Recycling, Valley Advocates for Responsible Development, the Downtown Driggs Community Association, The "One Book" team and anywhere else she can lend her energy and enthusiasm. This is all in line with her interest in making Driggs a wonderful place to live and play. She has volunteered graphic design hours to the Foundation and has been a reliable volunteer in implementing the summer concerts.
- Marshal McInnis
Marshal owns The Woodland Company, a site planning, development and construction management company in Driggs, ID.
His civic involvement includes spending two terms on the Driggs City Council, a volunteer in planning and constructing the downtown Skate Park and a coach of children's sports teams for six years. Marshal's site planning and implementation skills have been critical to our success in improving the downtown park for the summer concert series and the ice rink.
- Jeff Potter
Jeff is the business manager at PC Development in Tetonia, ID. After finishing school in the Boston area, Jeff worked in the financial services and life insurance industry with UBS Paine Webber and The National Life Group in the San Francisco area for five years. Jeff grew up in Jackson Hole and returned to the region in January of 2007, after a 9 year hiatus, along with his wife. Jeff is a member of the Teton Valley Rotary Club and is actively serving on the Teton County Impact Fee Advisory Committee. Jeff and his wife are passionate music lovers and are actively involved in a grass roots charitable organization that provides financial aid to New Orleans non-profits at the Jazzfest each year. Jeff's love for music, experience with fundraising activities, prior event planning experience, and willingness to serve others will contribue to the efforts of the Teton Valley Foundation in a meaningful and positive way.
- Clair Yost
Clair is a retired business owner who was born in the Valley and returned 30 years ago. As a retail owner, Clair designed and sold his own skis, one of the first fat powder skis on the market, which helped put Teton Valley on the map as a destination ski area. Clair was instrumental in starting the Nordic ski program at Grand Targhee Resort.
Clair is a stalwart grassroots organizer who initiated many community events including the Nordic Fest telemark ski race and the downtown Driggs ice rink. He is also a founding member of the Downtown Driggs Community Association.
- Jon Pinardi
A resident of the area since early 1999, Jon is the Director of Operations for Teton Springs in Victor. Joined by his wife Stacey and their 4 boys, they have been active supporters of the community in broad and diverse ways. A 1983 graduate of Oregon State University, Jon has long ties to the Intermountain Region and Pacific Northwest. An avid, but only part-time fly fisherman, golfer and skier, Jon enjoys our tremendous outdoor opportunities and looks forward to his involvement in the community.
